Cloud Foundry, which is a proven PaaS for VM-based compute, now makes its way to Kubernetes! In this talk, we will explore the evolution of Cloud Foundry into a Kubernetes-native system. How the project was rebuilt from the ground up to serve a k8s-first audience. We will also showcase some example deployments which will demonstrate how an app gets built, containerized, and deployed – all at the push of a button! This project is open source, and is governed by the Cloud Foundry Foundation. It makes use of other open source tools such as Paketo Buildpacks, Envoy, Fluentd, etc. This makes a great showcase for the power of the community driving innovation forward in the right direction.
