Description

Digital data provides the strength and vitality of the Information Age. Bits have as much, if not more, value than comparable assets in the physical world. Digital information is easy to create, copy, modify, replicate and disseminate, but difficult to control or destroy. Losing control of proprietary or critical information could have legal, financial or business ramifications.
By looking towards physics you can gain a better understanding of how data works. This session will introduce and explain the Natural Law of Digital Data. It will also outline the fundamental constants of the digital data life cycle and data’s states of existence. Specifically how those relate to the natural law. It will discuss the differences between data states and how those impact encryption, privacy, and compliance.
Understanding the state of your data and the Natural Law of Digital Data is critical to your overall data protection strategy. Data must be available to those who need it and kept away from those who would miss appropriate it.
