Much of the Shift Left movement is a recognition that security should fit into developer and DevOps teams’ processes, not the other way around. While release cycles are shortening, complexity is increasing. Security needs to change their operating model and integrate into modern software development cycles. Generally, when we think of application security, we approach it with a security centric mindset. Let’s instead take a developer centric approach, dive into the modern development toolchain, and see where security fits in.
