Kubernetes and OpenShift have become the standard for modern cloud-based application development. As usage of these environments increases, significant problems such as outages and breaches caused by machine identities, such as TLS and mTLS certificates, are also rising. This is often related to the sheer volume of certificates needed by these environments, but also because deployment teams get and manage these certificates themselves.
