How I Avoided Being Too SAFe by Flying into the Danger Zone with Value Streams and OKRs

Description

SAFe is something that we in the Agile and DevOps space are very familiar with. It is the most popular agile framework for a reason: it enables us to put into structured action the agile principles we all know and love. You might even say that it's the most common "safest" way to ease into Agile. Working with SAFe is a great start to scaling Agile and DevOps practices, but I have learned from recent experiences that there could be many approaches that allow organizations to continuously learn and experiment to find what works best. So, should we completely abandon SAFe? I don't think so. However, I will attempt to showcase how Lean enterprises adopting a value-driven hypothesis with a combination of iterative and experimental approaches, including key elements of SAFe, can deliver impact outcomes and experiences that drive value for all stakeholders. So, let’s leave behind the tranquility of the SAFe you once knew, and let's fly together into the danger zone!
