Skip Bayro, CISSP, CRISC, CDPSE, CCSE, CPL (AMEL,ASEL) is a Principal Consulting Engineer with Juniper Networks, Mist AIDE and a recognized expert in Network and Wireless (RF and LAN) Security, Performance and Compliance. Formerly a Principal Systems Engineer and Chief Solutions Architect of Airmagnet, Inc. (who was acquired by Fluke Networks and then Netscout Systems as part of the Danaher CEG acquisition) since March of 2008. Mr. Bayro joined Mist Systems in October of 2018 (then Juniper, a result of the acquisition of Mist Systems in 2019) and plays an integral role as a wireless network, security and performance subject matter expert, product specialist and principal systems engineer to the field sales organization with a focus on the TOLA territory and, helping develop and further Juniper Networks activities in the U.S. Federal Government space.

With over 40 years of experience in the information systems and wireless/RF technologies and over 35 years in information security, Mr. Bayro has a broad spectrum of experience from WiFi and RF network analysis, design and architecture to IT security / vulnerability assessments and business impact / risk analysis and is especially adept at Wired and Wireless Network Assurance, Perimeter Defense and Layered Defense designs and architecture. Mr. Bayro has held senior level IT management, lead solutions architect and engineering positions with Fortune 100 & 1000 companies. Mr. Bayro has also held the position of adjunct professor at the Macomb County Community College Cisco Academy in Macomb, Michigan, where he co-authored and taught the Wireless Network and Security Technology curriculum a part of their four year, IS/IT undergraduate degree program. Mr. Bayro is an avid technology, trainer, speaker and presenter and has spoken at numerous events such as those held by AFCEA, MILCOM, AFITC, CSI Peer Group, ISSA and others. He has also participated as a panelist on “Tech Talk Columbus”. Mr. Bayro is an active member of the ISC2, NPA, ISSA, ISACA and is a full, secure member of the FBI Infragard Program in addition to holding an active US Govt. Security Clearance. Skip is an avid boat captain and an FAA licensed Commercial Single and Multi-Engine and Instrument rated pilot and in his free time enjoys boating, flying and helping prospective Eagle Scouts earn their aviation merit badges or anyone else who wants to experience the joys of flight.
