John Marcellus is the Chief Information Officer for the Oklahoma Blood Institute which also includes the Arkansas Blood Institute, Texas Blood Institute, and Coffee Memorial Blood Center. OBI is the sixth-largest non-profit blood collector in the nation, providing more than 90% of the state's blood to over 160 hospitals, medical facilities and air ambulances statewide. The Arkansas Blood Institute provides blood for patients in more than 40 hospitals statewide. In Texas, Coffee Memorial Blood Center provides blood for patients across the High Plains region and Texas Blood Institute provides blood for all major hospitals in the Texoma region.

He has over twenty years of experience in IT including more than ten years in IT management. Over the years he has worked in enterprise IT in the Telecommunications, Oil and Gas, Government, and Non-Profit Industries. An advocate of supporting the community, John is a member of InfraGard, and also currently serves as the Board President for Tenaciously Teal which inspires hope by providing love, community, and empowerment to cancer fighters in the midst of treatment.
