Every organization is in the cloud, in some way shape, or form. But to many security practitioners, it’s still rather mystical. In this introductory class, participants will get the basics of cloud computing and explore the AWS environment. This includes securing the AWS account, configuring IAM rules and virtual networks, launching an instance, and running vulnerability scans in the environment. Attendees will need a laptop and the ability to connect to the AWS console. Everything else will be provided.
