Scott Rake is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and IT Professional with specializations in Windows Desktop and Windows Server technologies.
Additionally, Scott has delivered training in CompTIA Security+, networking, DevOps, Linux (Red Hat, Mandrake) and is an ITIL Expert (2011 edition).
When Scott began his career in Information Technology, he was stunned to find that there were few people that were willing to mentor someone coming into the field. The materials were there but no guidance for the application of the information they provided. It was for this reason that he eventually decided to venture into the classroom. Once he made the choice to teach, he promised that he would do whatever he could to help someone avoid that uneasy feeling of knowing but not understanding. He reminds himself every day that his job is to be a resource to someone else that needs the direction that his experience can provide. IT, after all, is a service-oriented industry. As such, he feels
obligated to provide a focused and practical approach in the classroom.
