As we move to cloud-based infrastructures, more and more teams are considering infrastructure-as-code solutions, like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation just to name a few. These allow developers to keep all changes under a version control system and review infrastructure changes by a senior DevOps person before they are deployed. While IaC has its advantages, it comes with its own set of challenges including scalability, complexity, change management and security/compliance. Before founding DuploCloud, Venkat realized that with the advances in machine-based automation and learning it shouldn’t be very difficult to build an intelligent program, or rules-based engine, to create this low-code environment for us.
