The steady evolution of cloud-native architecture and the adoption of microservices has enabled rapid innovation.  However, the rise of state-sponsored cyber attacks such as the SolarWinds attack and the increasing threats of cybercrime are making it vital that IT and security leaders collaborate to improve their security posture.   The fortress approach of layers of defense will not be sufficient in 2021 and beyond.    In this talk, we will look at the future of application security and the implications of microservices and distributed APIs in 2021.
