Catherine Newman has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the publishing and education sectors. Catherine is currently the VP of Global Business Development at PeopleCert since February 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Customer Officer at AXELOS Global Best Practice from October 2018 to February 2022. From December 2016 to October 2018, they worked as the Director of Sales and Partnerships at Pearson UK, and from January 2010 to December 2016, as the Director of FE and Schools. Catherine's earlier experience includes roles at Hachette Livre, where they served as the Chief Operating Officer from April 2007 to January 2010, Group Sales and Marketing Director from February 2000 to April 2007, Trade Sales Manager from March 1997 to January 2000, Home Sales Manager from March 1996 to March 1997, and Area Sales Manager from April 1994 to March 1996.

Catherine Newman pursued their education at the Open University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Literature, graduating in 2007. Catherine furthered their studies at the same institution and completed a Master of Arts in Education in 2013.
