Name
DevOps at the Speed of Architecture
Description

Reading blogs about DevOps can be dizzying. Cloud is essential while mainframe DevOps is also hot. Some preach silo-busting while others talk about better relationships and empathy across silos. It can all feel contradictory. While there are some genuine disagreements, the reality is that most of the guidance is in the context of a certain application, its business needs, and architectural reality. A fantastic approach in one context can be a nightmare in another. It gets worse in that improving software-driven innovation can require changes to the architecture, infrastructure, and ways of working (including the org chart). In short, everything changes. The good news is that the affinities are known. The breaking points for various tool types and approaches are predictable. The org chart that works for quarterly releases won't work for weekly releases. Join Eric for an introduction to using DevOps g-forces to guide your DevOps journey.
