Yossi Cohen leads the Market Area North America - an organization of approximately 11,000 employees - in serving Ericsson’s customers in the United States and Canada with industry-leading technology and services.
Prior to this position, he served as the head of strategy, technology, marketing and business development for Ericsson North America from June 2020 to January 2024. In this role, he oversaw multiple C-level positions including the chief strategy officer, chief technology officer, and chief marketing officer, in addition to managing global hyper-scaler business and business development initiatives.
Cohen's journey with Ericsson also includes roles such as the head of customer unit Verizon in New Jersey, USA (August 2016 to June 2020), the global head of radio sales and business management in Stockholm, Sweden (September 2015 to August 2016), and head of global customer unit Softbank, based in Tokyo, Japan (July 2009 to August 2015). His earlier positions at Ericsson encompassed roles such as Key Account Manager for Bezeq/Pelephone and CTO for Ericsson Israel.
Prior to his tenure at Ericsson, Cohen's experience includes roles in a telecommunications technology-centric startup, as well as a mobile operator.
Apart from his responsibilities at Ericsson, Cohen has board member experience, and he's served as a board member for MediaKind Inc. since 2019.
Cohen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of West London and a diploma in Electronic Technical Engineering from the Mosenson Elite Academy, Israel. He is also an alumnus of the advanced executive program at the prestigious D'Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University.
