Mike has researched and advised on cybersecurity for over 5 years. He's versed in cloud security, container security, Kubernetes security, API security, security testing, mobile security, application protection, and secure continuous delivery. He's guided countless organizations globally in their security initiatives and supporting their business.

Prior to his research and advisory experience, Mike learned many hard lessons on the front lines of IT with over twenty years of practitioner and leadership experience focused on application security, vulnerability management, enterprise architecture, and systems engineering. He also has six industry certifications from GAIC and ISC2 including Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP).

Crystal is a cybersecurity strategist at Sysdig tasked with bridging the gap between business and security through cloud and container-focused webinars and papers for everyone from executives to technical practitioners. She was originally a threat research engineer on the Sysdig Threat Research Team, Crystal spent her time discovering and analyzing cyber threat actors who took advantage of the cloud. Crystal started her career as a linguist and intelligence analyst in the United States Air Force. Prior to joining Sysdig, she spent four years as a contractor for Booz Allen Hamilton, researching and reporting on terrorism and cyber threats. Crystal was responsible for helping to develop and mature Booz Allen’s cyber threat intelligence community and threat-hunting capabilities.

Senior Technical Marketing Manager

As a Technical Marketing Manager for Sysdig, Nigel Douglas is responsible for the technical marketing strategy of the detection and response segment of Sysdig Secure. This includes end-to-end responsibility for technical messaging, content and sales enablement content to support the Sysdig Secure business. As a TMM, he plays a key role in driving the market position in detection and response for Sysdig and making a big impact in the white-hot container/cloud security market. This requires a deep understanding of how customers use Sysdig’s products to create compelling messaging. Their customers and prospects are technical, and as a TMM, he strives to understand the technology and speak the language of CSIRT, SOC, and detection engineering teams. He held similar positions in product, alliance and technical marketing at Tigera, Malwarebytes, Solarwinds and Google.

She is an avid runner and student of philosophy.

Ron is the CEO and co-founder at Flox and a NixOS Foundation board member bringing Nix to the world.

Ron’s journey began in the elite technical units of the IDF (8200), first as a software engineer and later leading the development of large-scale field-operated products. A repeat founder, Ron dove into the world of developer tooling at Meta’s Facebook as the head of developer products, building the tools powering Meta’s 20,000-strong developer core. Realizing the limitations of existing tooling and recognizing the superpowers of Nix, Ron co-founded Flox to grow Nix and make it accessible to the wider engineering community.

Ron is on the board of the NixOS Foundation where he works on leading key efforts to strengthen and support the entire community. He also leads the largest Israeli tech community in California as president of INTRO, a non-profit.

Andrew Park is a trusted advisor who guides customers and partners in designing, implementing and managing complex cloud-based solutions on AWS. Park enjoys public speaking and has spoken at large conferences such as AWS re:Invent and KubeCon.

Park is passionate about open source initiatives, cloud-native technologies and community building.

He is co-owner of the San Diego DevOps/Cloud-Native User Group, an initiative to strengthen collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation among local professionals in the tech industry, with a focus on driving the adoption of cutting-edge open source tools, cloud-native platforms and best practices to enhance organizational efficiency, scalability and performance. As a leader in this group, Park played an instrumental role in organizing events, workshops and webinars to provide learning opportunities and foster connections among participants, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of the San Diego tech community.
